Who we are
Over the last 10 years the CSLAA has been focused on alumni events and helping the current CSCC students. The alumni will continue to do so, but the main focus is now on trying to bring new students to the college and giving back to the surrounding communities through outreach programs. The CSLAA is reaching out to high school FFA programs and career centers. These are the young adults who are interested in the industry and we need to show them that CSCC would be a treat place to continue their education! We are also working with area schools to improve their grounds and offer a teaching element for their students and families. We want to work side by side, glove in glove, with area businesses and professionals to achieve these goals. Help us to help them!
The Association is made up of former CSCC students that either graduated or completed at least 24 credit hours in the Landscape Design/Build Program.
The steering committee, also known as the board, is made up of 5 alumni. These members are committed to keeping the Alumni Assocation running as smooth as possible.
Thank you to all the companies, landscape related or not, that have supported us over the years. We would not be where we are today without your help.
The group receives advice and guidance from Professors Richard Ansley and Steve O'Neal. There are many local businesses that support the Association both financially and through service.
Current landscape program students are encouraged to take part in the alumni meetings, social events and fundraisers. After all, the alumni group was created to help make the student group better!
